KJV : Therefore, thou son <01121> of man <0120>, say <0559> (8798) unto the children <01121> of thy people <05971>, The righteousness <06666> of the righteous <06662> shall not deliver <05337> (8686) him in the day <03117> of his transgression <06588>: as for the wickedness <07564> of the wicked <07563>, he shall not fall <03782> (8735) thereby in the day <03117> that he turneth <07725> (8800) from his wickedness <07562>; neither shall the righteous <06662> be able <03201> (8799) to live <02421> (8800) for his [righteousness] in the day <03117> that he sinneth <02398> (8800).
NASB : "And you, son of man, say to your fellow citizens, �The righteousness of a righteous man will not deliver him in the day of his transgression, and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he will not stumble because of it in the day when he turns from his wickedness; whereas a righteous man will not be able to live by his righteousness on the day when he commits sin.�
