Lalu kata orang itu Namamu tidak akan disebutkan lagi Yakub tetapi Israel sebab engkau telah bergumul melawan Allah dan manusia dan engkau menang

Firman Allah kepadanya Namamu Yakub dari sekarang namamu bukan lagi Yakub melainkan Israel itulah yang akan menjadi namamu Maka Allah menamai dia Israel
