Setelah hal itu diberitahukan kepada Daud maka dikumpulkannya seluruh orang Israel diseberanginya sungai Yordan lalu sampai ke Helam Orang Aram mengatur barisannya berhadapan dengan Daud dan bertempur melawan dia

Dalam peperangan ini tidak usah kamu bertempur Hai Yehuda dan Yerusalem tinggallah berdiri di tempatmu dan lihatlah bagaimana TUHAN memberikan kemenangan kepadamu Janganlah kamu takut dan terkejut Majulah besok menghadapi mereka TUHAN akan menyertai kamu
