Ketika didengar Daud bahwa Nabal telah mati berkatalah ia Terpujilah TUHAN yang membela aku dalam perkara penghinaan Nabal terhadap aku dan yang mencegah hamba-Nya dari pada berbuat jahat TUHAN telah membalikkan kejahatan Nabal ke atas kepalanya sendiri Kemudian Daud menyuruh orang untuk berbicara dengan Abigail tentang mengambil dia menjadi isterinya
