Ketika Saul melihat Daud pergi menemui orang Filistin itu berkatalah ia kepada Abner panglima tentaranya Anak siapakah orang muda itu Abner Jawab Abner Demi tuanku hidup ya raja sesungguhnya aku tidak tahu

Oleh sebab itu jika tuanku raja berkenan datang silakanlah datang tanggungan kamilah untuk menyerahkan dia ke dalam tangan raja
