Orang Filistin itu menangkap dia mencungkil kedua matanya dan membawanya ke Gaza Di situ ia dibelenggu dengan dua rantai tembaga dan pekerjaannya di penjara ialah menggiling

Ketika hati mereka riang gembira berkatalah mereka Panggillah Simson untuk melawak bagi kita Simson dipanggil dari penjara lalu ia melawak di depan mereka kemudian mereka menyuruh dia berdiri di antara tiang-tiang
