maka Allah membangkitkan semangat jahat di antara Abimelekh dan warga kota Sikhem sehingga warga kota Sikhem itu menjadi tidak setia kepada Abimelekh

Jeremiah 3:8

Dilihatnya bahwa oleh karena zinahnya Aku telah menceraikan Israel perempuan murtad itu dan memberikan kepadanya surat cerai namun Yehuda saudaranya perempuan yang tidak setia itu tidak takut melainkan ia juga pun pergi bersundal

Jeremiah 3:11

Dan TUHAN berfirman kepadaku Israel perempuan murtad itu membuktikan dirinya lebih benar dari pada Yehuda perempuan yang tidak setia itu

Tetapi sesungguhnya seperti seorang isteri tidak setia terhadap temannya demikianlah kamu tidak setia terhadap Aku hai kaum Israel demikianlah firman TUHAN

Dan kamu bertanya Oleh karena apa Oleh sebab TUHAN telah menjadi saksi antara engkau dan isteri masa mudamu yang kepadanya engkau telah tidak setia padahal dialah teman sekutumu dan isteri seperjanjianmu
