Judges 7:5

Lalu Gideon menyuruh rakyat itu turun minum air dan berfirmanlah TUHAN kepadanya Barangsiapa yang menghirup air dengan lidahnya seperti anjing menjilat haruslah kaukumpulkan tersendiri demikian juga semua orang yang berlutut untuk minum

Judges 7:6

Jumlah orang yang menghirup dengan membawa tangannya ke mulutnya ada tiga ratus orang tetapi yang lain dari rakyat itu semuanya berlutut minum air

Ketika Salomo selesai memanjatkan segala doa dan permohonan itu kepada TUHAN bangkitlah ia dari depan mezbah TUHAN setelah berlutut dengan menadahkan tangannya ke langit

Pada waktu korban petang bangkitlah aku dan berhenti menyiksa diriku lalu aku berlutut dengan pakaianku dan jubahku yang koyak-koyak sambil menadahkan tanganku kepada TUHAN Allahku
