Sebab orang Israel berangkat pergi dan pada hari ketiga sampai ke kota-kota orang-orang itu adapun kota-kota itu ialah Gibeon Kefira Beerot dan Kiryat-Yearim

maka sangat takutlah orang sebab Gibeon itu kota yang besar seperti salah satu kota kerajaan bahkan lebih besar dari Ai dan semua orangnya adalah pahlawan

Datanglah kepadaku dan bantulah aku supaya kita menggempur Gibeon karena telah mengadakan ikatan persahabatan dengan Yosua dan orang Israel
