Ketika Yosua dekat Yerikho ia melayangkan pandangnya dilihatnya seorang laki-laki berdiri di depannya dengan pedang terhunus di tangannya Yosua mendekatinya dan bertanya kepadanya Kawankah engkau atau lawan
