Deuteronomy 25:19

Maka apabila TUHAN Allahmu sudah mengaruniakan keamanan kepadamu dari pada segala musuhmu di sekeliling di negeri yang diberikan TUHAN Allahmu kepadamu untuk dimiliki sebagai milik pusaka maka haruslah engkau menghapuskan ingatan kepada Amalek dari kolong langit Janganlah lupa

Tetapi apabila seseorang pada waktu mendengar perkataan sumpah serapah ini menyangka dirinya tetap diberkati dengan berkata Aku akan selamat walaupun aku berlaku degil dengan demikian dilenyapkannya baik tanah yang kegenangan maupun yang kekeringan
