Deuteronomy 14:28

Pada akhir tiga tahun engkau harus mengeluarkan segala persembahan persepuluhan dari hasil tanahmu dalam tahun itu dan menaruhnya di dalam kotamu

Tujuh hari lamanya harus engkau mengadakan perayaan bagi TUHAN Allahmu di tempat yang akan dipilih TUHAN sebab TUHAN Allahmu akan memberkati engkau dalam segala hasil tanahmu dan dalam segala usahamu sehingga engkau dapat bersukaria dengan sungguh-sungguh

Apabila dalam tahun yang ketiga tahun persembahan persepuluhan engkau sudah selesai mengambil segala persembahan persepuluhan dari hasil tanahmu maka haruslah engkau memberikannya kepada orang Lewi orang asing anak yatim dan kepada janda supaya mereka dapat makan di dalam tempatmu dan menjadi kenyang
