Leviticus 5:15

Apabila seseorang berubah setia dan tidak sengaja berbuat dosa dalam sesuatu hal kudus yang dipersembahkan kepada TUHAN maka haruslah ia mempersembahkan kepada TUHAN sebagai tebusan salahnya seekor domba jantan yang tidak bercela dari kambing domba dinilai menurut syikal perak yakni menurut syikal kudus menjadi korban penebus salah

Apabila seseorang berbuat dosa dan berubah setia terhadap TUHAN dan memungkiri terhadap sesamanya barang yang dipercayakan kepadanya atau barang yang diserahkan kepadanya atau barang yang dirampasnya atau apabila ia telah melakukan pemerasan atas sesamanya

Numbers 5:6

Berbicaralah kepada orang Israel Apabila seseorang laki-laki atau perempuan melakukan sesuatu dosa terhadap sesamanya manusia dan oleh karena itu berubah setia terhadap TUHAN sehingga orang itu menjadi bersalah

Setelah terjadi demikian apabila perempuan itu memang mencemarkan dirinya dan berubah setia terhadap suaminya air yang mendatangkan sumpah serapah itu akan masuk ke badannya dan menyebabkan sakit yang pedih sehingga perutnya mengembung dan pahanya mengempis dan perempuan itu akan menjadi sumpah kutuk di antara bangsanya

Ketika Akhan bin Zerah berubah setia dengan mengambil barang-barang yang dikhususkan bukankah segenap umat Israel kena murka Bukan orang itu saja yang mati karena dosanya
