dan berkata kepada mereka Ah kalau kami mati tadinya di tanah Mesir oleh tangan TUHAN ketika kami duduk menghadapi kuali berisi daging dan makan roti sampai kenyang Sebab kamu membawa kami keluar ke padang gurun ini untuk membunuh seluruh jemaah ini dengan kelaparan

yang berumur dua puluh tahun ke atas dan yang sanggup berperang orang demi orang Engkau ini beserta Harun harus mencatat mereka menurut pasukannya masing-masing

Sesungguhnya Aku mengambil orang Lewi dari antara orang Israel ganti semua anak sulung mereka yang terdahulu lahir dari kandungan supaya orang Lewi menjadi kepunyaan-Ku

Dan orang yang Kupilih tongkat orang itulah akan bertunas demikianlah Aku hendak meredakan sungut-sungut yang diucapkan mereka kepada kamu sehingga tidak usah Kudengar lagi
