Menangis dan merintihlah karena gunung-gunung dan merataplah karena padang rumput di gurun sebab semuanya sudah tandus sampai tidak ada orang yang melintasinya dan orang tidak mendengar lagi suara ternak baik burung-burung di udara maupun binatang-binatang semuanya telah lari dan sudah lenyap

Negeri telah penuh dengan orang-orang berzinah sungguh oleh karena kutuk ini gersanglah negeri dan layulah padang-padang rumput di gurun apa yang dikejar mereka adalah kejahatan dan kekuatan mereka adalah ketidakadilan
