Jeremiah 2:8

Para imam tidak lagi bertanya Di manakah TUHAN Orang-orang yang melaksanakan hukum tidak mengenal Aku lagi dan para gembala mendurhaka terhadap Aku Para nabi bernubuat demi Baal mereka mengikuti apa yang tidak berguna

Jeremiah 5:13

Para nabi akan menjadi angin firman TUHAN tidak ada pada mereka

Jeremiah 5:31

Para nabi bernubuat palsu dan para imam mengajar dengan sewenang-wenang dan umat-Ku menyukai yang demikian Tetapi apakah yang akan kamu perbuat apabila datang kesudahannya

Jawab TUHAN kepadaku Para nabi itu bernubuat palsu demi nama-Ku Aku tidak mengutus mereka tidak memerintahkan mereka dan tidak berfirman kepada mereka Mereka menubuatkan kepadamu penglihatan bohong ramalan kosong dan tipu rekaan hatinya sendiri

Sebab itu beginilah firman TUHAN mengenai para nabi yang bernubuat demi nama-Ku padahal Aku tidak mengutus mereka dan yang berkata Perang dan kelaparan tidak akan menimpa negeri ini Para nabi itu sendiri akan habis mati oleh perang dan kelaparan
