Setelah Firaun membiarkan bangsa itu pergi Allah tidak menuntun mereka melalui jalan ke negeri orang Filistin walaupun jalan ini yang paling dekat sebab firman Allah Jangan-jangan bangsa itu menyesal apabila mereka menghadapi peperangan sehingga mereka kembali ke Mesir
