Exodus 1:15

Raja Mesir juga memerintahkan kepada bidan-bidan yang menolong perempuan Ibrani seorang bernama Sifra dan yang lain bernama Pua katanya

Exodus 1:16

Apabila kamu menolong perempuan Ibrani pada waktu bersalin kamu harus memperhatikan waktu anak itu lahir jika anak laki-laki kamu harus membunuhnya tetapi jika anak perempuan bolehlah ia hidup

Exodus 1:19

Jawab bidan-bidan itu kepada Firaun Sebab perempuan Ibrani tidak sama dengan perempuan Mesir melainkan mereka kuat sebelum bidan datang mereka telah bersalin

AV: And the midwives <03205> (8764) said <0559> (8799) unto Pharaoh <06547>, Because the Hebrew <05680> women <0802> [are] not as the Egyptian women <04713>; for they [are] lively <02422>, and are delivered <03205> (8804) ere <02962> the midwives <03205> (8764) come in <0935> (8799) unto them.

Exodus 2:7

Lalu bertanyalah kakak anak itu kepada puteri Firaun Akan kupanggilkah bagi tuan puteri seorang inang penyusu dari perempuan Ibrani untuk menyusukan bayi itu bagi tuan puteri

Deuteronomy 15:12

Apabila seorang saudaramu menjual dirinya kepadamu baik seorang laki-laki Ibrani ataupun seorang perempuan Ibrani maka ia akan bekerja padamu enam tahun lamanya tetapi pada tahun yang ketujuh engkau harus melepaskan dia sebagai orang merdeka
