Exodus 1:15

Raja Mesir juga memerintahkan kepada bidan-bidan yang menolong perempuan Ibrani seorang bernama Sifra dan yang lain bernama Pua katanya

Exodus 1:16

Apabila kamu menolong perempuan Ibrani pada waktu bersalin kamu harus memperhatikan waktu anak itu lahir jika anak laki-laki kamu harus membunuhnya tetapi jika anak perempuan bolehlah ia hidup
