Lalu dengan kejam orang Mesir memaksa orang Israel bekerja

dan memahitkan hidup mereka dengan pekerjaan yang berat yaitu mengerjakan tanah liat dan batu bata dan berbagai-bagai pekerjaan di padang ya segala pekerjaan yang dengan kejam dipaksakan orang Mesir kepada mereka itu

Leviticus 25:43

Janganlah engkau memerintah dia dengan kejam melainkan engkau harus takut akan Allahmu

Leviticus 25:46

Kamu harus membagikan mereka sebagai milik pusaka kepada anak-anakmu yang kemudian supaya diwarisi sebagai milik kamu harus memperbudakkan mereka untuk selama-lamanya tetapi atas saudara-saudaramu orang-orang Israel janganlah memerintah dengan kejam yang satu sama yang lain

Leviticus 25:53

Demikianlah ia harus tinggal padanya sebagai orang upahan dari tahun ke tahun Janganlah ia diperintah dengan kejam oleh orang itu di depan matamu
