Jawab Yakub kepada Firaun Tahun-tahun pengembaraanku sebagai orang asing berjumlah seratus tiga puluh tahun Tahun-tahun hidupku itu sedikit saja dan buruk adanya tidak mencapai umur nenek moyangku yakni jumlah tahun mereka mengembara sebagai orang asing

Genesis 47:30

karena aku mau mendapat perhentian bersama-sama dengan nenek moyangku Sebab itu angkutlah aku dari Mesir dan kuburkanlah aku dalam kubur mereka Jawabnya Aku akan berbuat seperti katamu itu

Tidakkah kamu ketahui apa yang aku dan nenek moyangku lakukan terhadap semua bangsa negeri-negeri lain Apakah para allah bangsa-bangsa segala negeri itu pernah berhasil melepaskan negeri mereka dari tanganku

Siapa dari pada semua allah bangsa-bangsa yang sudah ditumpas nenek moyangku itu dapat melepaskan bangsanya dari tanganku Masakan Allahmu dapat melepaskan kamu dari tanganku

Jawabku kepada raja Hiduplah raja untuk selamanya Bagaimana mukaku tidak akan muram kalau kota tempat pekuburan nenek moyangku telah menjadi reruntuhan dan pintu-pintu gerbangnya habis dimakan api
