Pada tahun kedelapan belas dari pemerintahannya setelah selesai mentahirkan negeri dan rumah TUHAN ia menyuruh Safan bin Azalya dan Maaseya penguasa kota serta Yoah bin Yoahas bendahara negara untuk memperbaiki rumah TUHAN Allahnya
