Dia bersujud di kakinya dan berkata Akulah tuanku yang menanggung kesalahannya Biarkanlah hambamu ini berbicara kepadamu dan dengarkanlah perkataan hambamu ini

Jangan biarkan tuanku mengarahkan hati kepada Nabal orang berkelakuan jahat itu Sebab seperti namanya begitulah dia Nabal namanya dan kebodohan menyertainya Namun aku hambamu ini tidak melihat orang-orang muda yang dikirim tuanku

Ampunilah kesalahan hambamu ini sebab TUHAN pasti akan membangun bagi tuanku keturunan yang kukuh Sebab tuanku melakukan peperangan TUHAN dan tidak ada kejahatan padamu seumur hidupmu
