Keesokan paginya ketika mereka bangun pagi-pagi terlihatlah Dagon jatuh tertelungkup menghadap Tabut Allah Namun kepala Dagon dan kedua tangannya putus dan terpelanting ke ambang pintu Namun demikian badan Dagon itu masih tersisa di dekatnya

Sesungguhnya kamu mengandalkan tongkat buluh yang terkulai yaitu Mesir Jika ada orang yang bersandar buluh itu akan menusuk tangannya hingga tembus Seperti itulah Firaun raja Mesir kepada semua orang yang mengandalkan dia
