Orang Israel mengirim beberapa pesuruh kepada Raja Edom dengan berkata Izinkanlah kami melewati negerimu Akan tetapi Raja Edom tidak mau mendengar Mereka juga mengirim pesuruh kepada Raja Moab tetapi dia tidak mau menyetujui Jadi orang Israel tinggal di Kadesh
