Orang Israel berseru kepada TUHAN maka TUHAN membangkitkan penyelamat bagi mereka yaitu Ehud anak Gera keturunan Benyamin seorang yang tangannya kidal Melalui perantaraannya orang Israel menyerahkan upeti kepada Eglon raja Moab

Karena itu beginilah firman TUHAN mengenai Yoyakim raja Yehuda Dia tidak akan memiliki keturunan untuk duduk di atas takhta Daud dan mayatnya akan dicampakkan sehingga terkena panas pada siang hari dan dingin pada malam hari

Perempuan itu mengandung lagi dan melahirkan seorang anak perempuan TUHAN berfirman kepada Hosea Namakan dia Lo-Ruhama sebab Aku tidak akan lagi menaruh kasih pada keturunan Israel bahkan tidak untuk mengampuni mereka
