Keesokan harinya ketika Raja Ai melihat hal itu ia dan seluruh rakyatnya orang-orang kota itu segera maju berperang menyerbu orang Israel ke lereng di seberang dataran itu Akan tetapi ia tidak mengetahui bahwa ada orang yang mengadang di belakang kota
