TUHAN berfirman kepada Yosua Jangan takut dan jangan cemas Bawalah seluruh tentara perang dan bangkitlah pergilah ke Ai Ketahuilah Aku menyerahkan Raja Ai rakyatnya kotanya dan negerinya ke dalam tanganmu

TUHAN berfirman kepada Yosua Jangan takut kepada mereka sebab Aku menyerahkan mereka ke dalam tanganmu Tidak seorang pun dari mereka dapat bertahan di hadapanmu

Roh TUHAN turun ke atasnya sehingga dia menjadi hakim atas orang Israel Dia maju berperang dan TUHAN menyerahkan Kusyan-Risyataim raja Aram ke dalam tangannya supaya dia menang atas Kusyan-Risyataim

Orang Israel berseru kepada TUHAN maka TUHAN membangkitkan penyelamat bagi mereka yaitu Ehud anak Gera keturunan Benyamin seorang yang tangannya kidal Melalui perantaraannya orang Israel menyerahkan upeti kepada Eglon raja Moab

Sesudah Gideon mendengar mimpi itu dan maknanya dia sujud menyembah Lalu dia kembali ke pertendaan orang Israel Dia berkata Bangunlah sebab TUHAN telah menyerahkan pertendaan orang Midian ke dalam tanganmu
