Deuteronomy 15:7

Jika di antara kamu ada orang miskin yaitu salah seorang saudaramu yang tinggal di kota mana pun di negeri yang diberikan TUHAN Allahmu Jangan keraskan hatimu dan jangan tutup tanganmu terhadap saudaramu yang miskin itu

TUHAN Allahmu akan menyunat hatimu dan hati keturunanmu sehingga kamu akan mengasihi TUHAN Allahmu dengan segenap hatimu dan segenap jiwamu supaya kamu hidup

Yosua berkata Sekarang jauhkanlah ilah asing yang ada di tengah-tengahmu dan arahkanlah hatimu kepada TUHAN Allah Israel

Setelah pergi dari sana Yehu bertemu dengan Yonadab anak Rekhab yang mendatanginya Yehu memberi salam kepadanya lalu berkata Apakah hatimu jujur terhadapku seperti halnya hatiku terhadap hatimu Yonadab menjawab Ya Jika ya ulurkanlah tanganmu kepadaku Lalu dia memberikan tangannya dan Yehu mengajak naik di sampingnya ke dalam kereta
