Negeri yang akan kamu masuki untuk kamu miliki itu tidak sama dengan negeri Mesir dari mana kamu berasal Di Mesir kamu menanam bibit dan harus menyirami ladangmu seperti kebun sayur

Inilah hukum dan ketetapan yang harus kamu taati di tanah yang TUHAN Allah berikan pada nenek moyangmu yang diberikan kepadamu untuk kamu miliki selama kamu hidup di bumi

Kamu boleh membungakan kepada orang asing tetapi kepada saudaramu janganlah kamu membebankan bunga Dengan demikian TUHAN Allahmu akan memberkatimu dalam segala sesuatu yang kamu kerjakan di negeri yang kamu masuki untuk kamu miliki

TUHAN akan membuatmu menderita penyakit sampar sampai Dia menghabiskanmu dari negeri yang telah kamu masuki untuk kamu miliki itu
