Akan tetapi kami dibawa-Nya keluar dari sana agar memasuki tanah yang diberikan kepada kami seperti yang telah dijanjikan-Nya kepada nenek moyang kami

Dia membuatmu rendah hati membiarkanmu lapar dan memberi makan manna yang tidak dikenal olehmu atau nenek moyangmu agar kamu menyadari bahwa manusia hidup bukan dari roti saja melainkan dari segala sesuatu yang dikatakan TUHAN

Dia juga yang memberi makanan manna kepadamu di padang belantara yaitu makanan yang tidak pernah dikenal oleh nenek moyangmu Dia mengujimu untuk menjadikanmu rendah hati agar segala sesuatu akhirnya membawa kebaikan untukmu

Janganlah kamu memakannya agar baik keadaanmu dan keadaan anak-anakmu karena kamu melakukan yang benar di hadapan TUHAN
