Deuteronomy 4:1

Sekarang orang Israel dengarkanlah ketetapan dan perintah yang kuajarkan kepadamu taatilah itu supaya kamu hidup dan dapat memasuki dan memiliki tanah yang diberikan TUHAN Allah nenek moyangmu kepadamu

Deuteronomy 4:21

TUHAN murka kepadaku karena kamu Dia bersumpah bahwa aku tidak akan menyeberang Sungai Yordan dan tidak akan memasuki tanah yang baik yang diberikan TUHAN Allahmu menjadi milik pusakamu

Ketika kamu sudah menyeberang Sungai Yordan dan tinggal di negeri yang diberikan oleh TUHAN Allahmu sebagai warisanmu Dia akan memberikanmu ketenangan dari semua musuhmu sehingga kamu akan tinggal dalam kedamaian

Pilihlah hakim dan petugas di setiap kota yang diberikan TUHAN Allahmu kepadamu menurut suku-sukumu Dan mereka harus mengadili bangsa itu dengan hukum yang adil

Apabila kamu sudah memasuki negeri yang diberikan oleh TUHAN Allahmu kamu akan memiliki tanah tersebut dan tinggal di sana lalu kamu berkata Marilah kita mengangkat seorang raja bagi kita seperti bangsa-bangsa di sekitar kita

Oleh sebab itu akan terjadi ketika TUHAN Allahmu telah memberikan kedamaian kepadamu dari segala musuh yang ada di sekitarmu di tanah yang diberikan oleh TUHAN Allahmu untuk kamu miliki maka hapuskanlah ingatan kepada Amalek dari kolong langit Jangan lupa
