Namun bagiku rahasia ini disingkapkan kepadaku bukan karena hikmat yang ada padaku melebihi semua yang hidup tetapi agar maknanya dapat diberitahukan kepada Tuanku Raja dan supaya engkau mengenal pikiran-pikiran dalam hati Tuanku

Akan tetapi engkau anaknya Tuanku Belsyazar tidak merendahkan hati sekalipun Tuanku mengetahui semuanya ini

Akan tetapi ketika hatinya menjadi tinggi dan pikirannya menjadi keras dalam keangkuhan dia diturunkan dari takhta kerajaannya dan kemuliaannya diambil darinya
