Namun semuanya tidak berarti bagiku selama aku masih melihat Mordekhai orang Yahudi itu duduk di pintu gerbang istana raja

Mordekhai pergi dari hadapan raja dengan berpakaian kerajaan dari kain ungu lembayung dan kain putih dengan mahkota emas yang agung dan kain linen halus dan kain ungu Kota Susan pun bersorak-sorai dan bergembira

Oleh karena Mordekhai semakin berkuasa di istana raja dan kemasyhurannya tersiar ke semua provinsi karena Mordekhai adalah orang yang bertambah besar dan hebat
