Esther 2:7

Dia membesarkan Hadasa yaitu Ester anak perempuan pamannya karena dia tidak mempunyai ayah dan ibu Gadis itu elok perawakannya dan cantik parasnya Saat ayah dan ibunya meninggal Mordekhai mengambilnya sebagai anaknya sendiri

Esther 2:15

Saat Ester anak perempuan Abihail paman dari Mordekhai yang mengangkat Ester menjadi anaknya datang menghadap raja dia tidak meminta apa pun selain apa yang telah disarankan oleh Hegai sida-sida raja penjaga para perempuan itu Ester mendapat perkenanan di mata semua orang yang melihatnya
