Inilah salinan surat yang mereka kirim kepadanya Kepada Raja Artahsasta dari hamba-hambamu orang-orang di seberang sungai pada masa ini

Ketika sampai di dekat liang itu berserulah dia dengan suara sedih Raja berbicara kepada Daniel katanya Ya Daniel hamba Allah yang hidup apakah Allahmu yang kausembah dengan tekun sanggup melepaskanmu dari singa-singa itu
