Salum anak Kore anak Ebyasaf anak Korah beserta saudara-saudara dalam kaum keluarga mereka yaitu orang-orang Korah melakukan pekerjaan pelayanan sebagai penjaga pintu Tenda Suci seperti halnya leluhur mereka bertugas di perkemahan TUHAN sebagai penjaga pintu masuk
