Akan tetapi raja Asyur mendapati adanya persekongkolan pada pihak Hosea kerana Hosea telah mengirim beberapa orang utusan kepada So raja Mesir dan tidak lagi mempersembahkan ufti kepada raja Asyur seperti biasanya tahun demi tahun Oleh sebab itu raja Asyur mengurung dan membelenggunya di dalam penjara

Firman Tuhan kepada Hosea Namailah dia Yizreel kerana tidak lama lagi Aku akan membalas penumpahan darah di Yizreel kepada keturunan kaum Yehu dan Aku akan mengakhiri kerajaan keturunan kaum Israel
