Sesudah itu dia mengajak ketua-ketua pasukan seratus orang Kari para bentara dan seluruh rakyat negeri untuk membawa raja turun dari Bait Tuhan Mereka pun masuk ke istana raja melalui pintu gerbang para bentara Maka duduklah raja di atas takhta kerajaan

Baginda mengirimkan surat-surat ke semua wilayah kerajaan iaitu kepada setiap wilayah menurut tulisannya dan kepada setiap bangsa menurut bahasanya yang mengumumkan bahawa setiap lelaki harus menjadi ketua rumah tangganya dan menggunakan bahasa bangsanya sendiri

Dia berkata Jika baik menurut raja dan jika tuanku bermurah hati kepada hamba sehingga hal ini dipandang benar oleh raja dan hamba mendapat perkenan tuanku maka biarlah tuanku mengeluarkan perintah untuk menarik balik surat-surat Haman anak Hamedata bani Agag itu yang ditulisnya dengan muslihat untuk membinasakan orang Yahudi di seluruh wilayah kerajaan
