Ketika Yehu keluar mendapatkan para pegawai tuannya bertanyalah seseorang kepadanya Adakah semuanya baik-baik sahaja Mengapakah orang gila itu datang kepadamu Jawab Yehu kepada mereka Kamu tahulah orang seperti itu dan hal-hal yang dikatakannya

Kata Yehu Jatuhkanlah dia Mereka pun menjatuhkan dia sehingga darahnya memercik ke dinding serta ke kuda-kuda yang kemudian menginjak-injaknya

Pagi harinya keluarlah Yehu Dia berdiri di hadapan seluruh rakyat dan berkata kepada mereka Kamu tidak bersalah Akulah yang mengadakan komplot melawan tuanku lalu membunuh dia Tetapi siapakah yang membunuh semua orang ini

Kata Yehu Tangkap mereka hidup-hidup Lalu mereka yang seramai empat puluh dua orang itu pun ditangkap hidup-hidup dan disembelih dekat perigi Bet-Eked Tiada seorang pun ditinggalkannya hidup daripada kalangan mereka
