Oleh sebab itu dia berkata kepada para utusan Benhadad Katakanlah kepada Tuanku Raja Segala sesuatu yang kali pertama tuanku tuntut daripada hambamu ini akan hamba lakukan tetapi permintaan yang sekarang ini tidak dapat hamba lakukan Maka pergilah mereka menyampaikan perkataan itu kepada Benhadad

Apabila Benhadad mendengar perkataan itu dia sedang minum-minum bersama dengan para raja di dalam pondok berkatalah dia kepada pegawai-pegawainya Bersiaplah Maka mereka bersiap-siap untuk menyerang kota itu
