Sebaik sahaja menaiki takhta dia menumpaskan seluruh keluarga Yerobeam Tidak ditinggalkannya bagi Yerobeam seorang pun yang bernyawa Dia memunahkan kesemuanya selaras dengan firman yang disampaikan Tuhan dengan perantaraan hamba-Nya Ahia orang Silo itu
