Genesis 31:42

Kalau Allah ayahku Allah Abraham dan Yang Dijunjung Tinggi oleh Ishak tidak menyertaiku tentulah sekarang pak cik melepaskan aku pergi dengan tangan kosong Akan tetapi Allah melihat betapa aku teraniaya serta jerih lelahku maka Dia menegur pak cik semalam

Job 6:26

Adakah kamu bermaksud menegur kata-kata dan menganggap penuturan orang yang putus asa seperti angin

Patutkah dia menegur dengan kata-kata yang tidak berguna dan dengan penuturan yang tidak berfaedah

Adakah kerana ketakwaanmu kepada-Nya maka Dia menegur engkau dan datang berperkara denganmu

Tetapi sesiapa menegur orang durjana itu akan disukai dan berkat melimpah akan datang ke atasnya
