Tingkat bawahnya selebar lima hasta tingkat tengah selebar enam hasta manakala tingkat ketiga selebar tujuh hasta Di sekeliling dinding bait sebelah luar dibuatnya birai-birai pengimbang supaya segala alang tidak perlu ditancap pada dinding bait itu

Semakin ke atas bilik-bilik tambahan itu semakin lebar kerana ukuran ceruk di sekeliling Bait Suci semakin lebar semakin ke atas Orang dapat menaiki tangga dari tingkat bawah ke tingkat atas melalui tingkat tengah

Ezekiel 42:5

Bilik-bilik di tingkat atas berukuran lebih kecil kerana serambinya memakan lebih banyak tempat berbanding dengan serambi di tingkat bawah dan di tingkat tengah bangunan itu

Kerana bilik-bilik itu tersusun dalam tiga tingkat tanpa mempunyai tiang-tiang seperti yang ada di pelataran maka bilik-bilik di tingkat atas lebih sempit ukuran lantainya berbanding dengan bilik-bilik di tingkat bawah dan di tingkat tengah
