1 Kings 1:39

Imam Zadok mengambil tabung tanduk berisi minyak dari dalam Khemah Suci lalu melantik Salomo Kemudian sangkakala ditiup dan seluruh rakyat berseru Hidup Raja Salomo

Maka sampailah berita itu kepada Yoab yang sememangnya telah berpihak kepada Adonia sekalipun dahulu dia tidak berpihak kepada Absalom Maka larilah Yoab ke Khemah Suci Tuhan lalu dipegangnyalah tanduk-tanduk mazbah

Kepada Raja Salomo diberitahukan bahawa Yoab telah lari ke Khemah Suci Tuhan dan telah berada di samping mazbah Kemudian Salomo menyuruh Benaya anak Yoyada katanya Pergilah serang dia

Benaya pun masuk ke dalam Khemah Suci Tuhan dan berkata kepada Yoab Beginilah titah raja Keluarlah Jawabnya Tidak di sinilah aku mahu mati Kemudian Benaya menyampaikan kata-kata itu kepada raja katanya Beginilah kata Yoab dan beginilah jawabnya kepada hamba

1 Chronicles 9:19

Salum anak Kore anak Ebyasaf anak Korah bersama-sama saudaranya sekaum keluarga iaitu bani Korah bertugas melaksanakan pekerjaan sebagai penjaga pintu Khemah Suci Nenek moyang mereka pun dahulu bertanggungjawab atas perkhemahan Tuhan sebagai penjaga pintu masuk

Mereka dan anak-anak mereka bertanggungjawab menjaga pintu-pintu gerbang Bait Tuhan yang dahulu disebut Khemah Suci
