Pada suatu waktu datanglah Adonia anak Hagit menghadap Batsyeba bonda Salomo Tanya Batsyeba Apakah engkau datang dengan damai sejahtera Jawabnya Ya secara berdamai

Lalu masuklah Batsyeba menghadap Raja Salomo untuk berbicara kepadanya bagi Adonia Raja bangkit menyambut dia dan sujud memberi hormat kepadanya Kemudian raja duduk di atas takhtanya Disuruhnya orang meletakkan kerusi untuk bonda raja lalu duduklah bonda raja di sebelah kanannya
