2 Samuel 21:2

Kemudian raja memanggil orang Gibeon untuk berbicara dengan mereka Orang Gibeon itu tidak termasuk orang Israel melainkan saki-baki orang Amori Orang Israel telah mengikat perjanjian dengan bersumpah kepada mereka tetapi Saul berikhtiar membunuh mereka dengan penuh semangatnya membela kepentingan orang Israel dan Yehuda

2 Samuel 21:3

Tanya Daud kepada orang Gibeon Apakah yang dapat kulakukan bagimu dan dengan apa dapat kuadakan perdamaian supaya kamu dapat memohonkan berkat bagi harta pusaka Tuhan

2 Samuel 21:4

Jawab orang Gibeon kepadanya Perkara yang ada antara kami dengan Saul dan keluarganya bukanlah perkara emas atau perak Kami pun tidak ada niat membunuh sesiapa di Israel Lalu berkatalah Daud Apa yang kamu katakan akan kulakukan bagimu

AV: And the Gibeonites <01393> said <0559> (8799) unto him, We will have no silver <03701> nor gold <02091> of <05973> Saul <07586>, nor of his house <01004>; neither for us shalt thou kill <04191> (8687) any man <0376> in Israel <03478>. And he said <0559> (8799), What ye shall say <0559> (8802), [that] will I do <06213> (8799) for you. {We will...: or, It is not silver nor gold that we have to do with Saul or his house, neither pertains it to us to kill, etc}

2 Samuel 21:9

Diserahkannya mereka ke tangan orang Gibeon yang seterusnya menggantung mereka di bukit di hadapan Tuhan Matilah ketujuh-tujuh orang itu bersama-sama Mereka dihukum mati pada hari pertama musim menuai iaitu pada permulaan musim menuai barli
