Pada zaman Daud berlakulah kebuluran selama tiga tahun berturut-turut Oleh itu Daud mencari petunjuk daripada Tuhan Lalu Tuhan berfirman Hal itu berlaku kerana Saul dan keluarganya berhutang darah kerana dahulunya dia pernah membunuh umat Gibeon
