Pada waktu Daud sampai di puncak bukit di tempat orang biasa menyembah Allah tampaklah Husai orang Arki datang menemuinya dengan baju terkoyak-koyak dan dengan debu tanah di kepalanya

Kata Husai pula Tuanku tahu bahawa ayah Tuanku dan anak buahnya itu memang kesateria dan mereka sedang panas hati seperti seekor beruang yang kehilangan anaknya di padang Apatah lagi ayah tuanku sememangnya seorang pejuang Tentunya dia tidak akan bermalam bersama-sama rakyat

Kemudian kata Absalom dan semua orang Israel Nasihat Husai orang Arki lebih baik daripada nasihat Ahitofel Tuhan memang berketetapan membatalkan nasihat Ahitofel yang baik itu supaya Tuhan dapat mendatangkan malapetaka kepada Absalom
