Ketika hal itu dikhabarkan kepada Daud maka dia mengerahkan seluruh orang Israel Mereka menyeberangi Yordan dan langsung menuju Helam Orang Aram pun mengatur barisan mereka untuk menghadapi Daud lalu berperang melawannya
